Today I'm going to introduce about the coffee shop where I work. It's near the Mito station by next to the movie theater. Deferent from other café is that we have smoking room and it separated, so non-smoker doesn’t have to worry about secondhand smoke.

We have a lot of kind of coffee like dripped coffee, latte, mocha, americano, and also milk tea, but it might be a little expensive to students but we have the confidence about the taste. We sell not only coffee but other things like beans, coffee machines, and equipment to make coffee.

Tully's coffee's coffee beans can be divided into three types. Light Roast, Medium Roast, and Dark Roast. I like the Medium type beans the most, especially House Blend is my favorite. This bean is the original blend and the taste is wonderfully balanced with medium body.


 
Our staff is called a fellow and we have two kind of job to do. First is the casher who takes the orders and next is the barista who makes and serves the coffee. I like to be in the bari, cause I enjoy making coffee now. When I started doing this job I really didn’t like to be in the bari, cause there were too many things to remember. Such as the recipe, execution, and the phrase we have to say when we serve, but now I been working for more then two years, so I have the confidence.

We’re passionate about coffee.
But as much as we love great coffee, we know there’s no big secret to enjoying it. You don’t need a world-class palate to enjoy it, or a foreign language to talk about it. Great coffee is a simple pleasure, a straightforward joy that’s easy to share.

When you make a latte or anything else, espresso is very important. Good espresso dicides the taste of the coffee.

Espresso is a beverage brewed by forcing a small amount of nearly boiling water under pressure through the coffee beans. It is the base for other drinks, such as a latte, cappuccino, mocha, or americano.

Espresso has more caffeine per one cup than most beverages, but the usual serving size is smaller—a typical 60 mL of espresso has 80 to 150 mg of caffeine, little less than   the standard 240 mL cup of drip coffee.
The surface of espresso is called crema. It is important not to break the crema when you pour it to the cup. Good espresso has beautiful crema.

When we drink espresso we have to choose size. Mostly there is two size, single and double. There is usually only two sizes, because the for it has a amount for 60ml. Also when we use espresso for other beverages, we call it a “shot”.

I am working on latte art since I started working at a cafe. It is hard, but it is really interesting.


The word barista is of Italian origin, and a barista is a male or female "bartender", who works behind a counter, serving both drinks such as espresso, coffee and cold alcoholic beverages, not a coffee-maker specifically.
